“Laziness is nothing more than the habit of resting before you get tired.” – Jules Renard
Monday, December 1st
There is something on the calendar for every night of the week. Tonight’s to-do was to make wreaths to support camping trips and outdoor education at our daughter’s school. Of course it’s a great cause. Of course I should have been there. But when it was freezing outside and I didn’t have the car and my husband was working late and child care was dubious, I allowed myself to say I was okay with staying home and catching up on Season 2 of “Vikings”.
I feel like I lead the way and/or contribute to several efforts in my neighborhood, community, and peer group. Some times I indulge in being a flake. Let’s just say it’s my little reward for being responsible the rest of the time.
Do you ever “flake out”?
