One Hundred Fifty: Trip Hop

My musical taste hit the pause button on the year 1998. I hold a brief appreciation for anything created beyond that point, but I will always meander back to deep house, breakbeats, and trip hop. I had the chance to see Portishead live a few years ago and it reminded me what a beautiful merge trip hop made of blues and beat culture.

It reminds me of my best times in Canada…in the company of musicians, theatre people, and fire dancers. Back when I grooved daily. I’m going to start a mix to get my body moving…
