“I must break the routines and become a person who becomes productive every Monday. I must break the mindset of unhappiness and turn myself into a happy magnet for Mondays.” – Leggy Saul
Monday, May 12th
The day after Mother’s Day is exactly that. Another day. Another huge pile of laundry. I think I must have had to either fold or wash every item of clothing we had, save for what we were wearing that day. I would find a relabeling of Monday to “WashDay” to be completely accurate.
I do get a strange sense of satisfaction out of folding all my clean laundry and finding just the right place for it to live. The closet space in my home is limited, so there really does seem to be a place for everything. The quest is to discover the best Tetris of dresses, shirts, and blouses so that I can share the closet with both of my kids. This arrangement won’t last forever, and somehow I have faith that I will eventually upgrade to a wünder-closet with a skylight and ample room when the kids want their own rooms. That happens, right?
Do you ever lose yourself in the toil?
